What is a Sensory Path? My Adaptive Art class created our own Sensory Path this school year up and down the main hall of the school. We first practiced drawing different types of lines and then figured out how to apply that practice on a larger scale for the path! We used colored tape (very similar to painter's tape) and taped the floor flowing one section into another. We kept the path down for a couple weeks and encouraged students to walk the path from start to finish and back again. I witnessed students being able to focus and follow the pathway with joyous concentration.
